All you gamers out there who have watched the movie, Ready Player One or read its book, you will love to experience Zero Latency in Mumbai! It is the closest you can get to experience that in real life. Not exactly real life, but in real life’s virtual world. For people who do not game, if you have seen Black Mirror’s latest season then you’d understand. But, it is still far away from the technology that we have seen in those episodes.

How Does it Work?

Zero Latency uses wireless technology and motion tracking to keep a track on the physical location of players, which allows the in-game virtual location of players’ avatars to be generated accurately. Proximity sensors are used to warn players of hazards and prevent players from leaving the physical play area. Also, you are alerted in-game if you are close to coming in contact with the walls or players.

Which Games can you Play?

There are four games in total you can choose from namely, Engineerium, Zombie Survival, Singularity, and Outbreak Origins.

Engineerium – This world will literally trick your mind into believing if you are actually upside down. Also, the graphics are really good, and in the future will only get better. You along with your team will be on a walking journey that’ll leave you questioning your own reality. If you take the Engineerium + Zombie Survival game combo, then this game is a starter pack for you to get a feel for the VR world before you prepare yourself for surviving the Zombie wave in the Zombie Survival game.

Zombie Survival – Ever thought of surviving a Zombie apocalypse, well, this is your chance. You’ll need to work with your team to fend off swarms of ruthless zombies, rebuild defensive barriers and hope you can survive long enough for help to arrive. You can communicate with your team over the radio and watch each other’s back so that you don’t become the white walker. You can choose the 45 minutes game session if you want to annihilate the leaderboard.

Singularity – Remember Will Smith kicking butts in the movie iRobot, similarly, you will get an opportunity to kill some robots. It is an immersive, science fiction shooter on a station stranded in the depths of space. Fight to the death against killer robots as you explore narrow corridors, and watch out for treacherous lifts and its zero-gravity environments. This game can get you physically worked up as it lasts 45 minutes which includes the pre-game briefing.

Outbreak Origins – This is one thrilling zombie shooter adventure. For gamers who have played Half-Life 2 will know that it has similar gaming dynamics. Ultra-realistic zombies developed from motion capture of live actors. The epic boss battle finale will keep you and your squad gripping your guns. Get ready for the most advanced free-roam multiplayer VR zombie game ever made!

Zero Latency

Now, the types of equipment used are expensive and of top-notch quality. For a one time experience, it is definitely worth it, but only hardcore gamers would prefer visiting it again. It gets over all too soon and you think if only the experience could have lasted longer. Having said that, you would love every minute of the session and it has opened a whole new dimension for the gaming community to explore the world of VR!
