Vu televisions have recently launched their new series of smart TVs. The first series is the Ultrasmart, second is the Pixelight and the third one is Premium. Among them, we have with us is the smart TV from Pixelight series. It is the 55-inch 4K HDR smart TV. We have just unboxed the Vu Pixelight TV and this is how it looks like.

The Vu Pixelight is extremely well built, giving it a very premium look. As far as the overall looks are concerned, the TV is one of the best looking televisions out there in the market. The bezel isn’t thick but certainly not the slimmest bezels I have seen even on budget TVs. The Vu Pixelight comes with an A+ grade IPS panel and with DLED backlighting.

Vu TV has also introduced a new technology – upscaler which means they have upscaled the audio and the video quality. The technology renders high-end cinema quality playback for VOD content and enhances your OTT experience for users. The contrast is also very good with amazing picture quality. The remote of the TV has shortcuts for Youtube, Amazon and Netflix and takes you to it without wasting any time. We tried playing videos with a resolution of 720p, 1080p and 4K on this television and were immediately impressed with the results.

While the television delivered stunning results when playing 4K videos, it also delivered great results when playing HD and Full HD videos, thanks to Vu’s 4X upscaling technology. The results are more noticeable when you play a 720p video, which was upscaled to a much better quality than its original. However, when it came to videos at standard resolution (SD), the videos lose it’s clarity and doesn’t feel like watching it. VERDICT So it is the best 4K TV in the market? It does have a beautiful yet robust design, excellent image processing, HDR 10 support, Dolby Vision technology and the exclusive Upscaler technology. You should definitely consider this TV while buying a new TV.
