The Pop Thing: Vivo V15 pro
Vivo V15 Pro is one of the unique smartphone available in the market. The major highlight of the V15 Pro is the 32-megapixel selfie pop-out camera, no top notch and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone comes with an impressive 6.39-inch AMOLED screen with 85.9% screen-to-body ratio. The viewing angles are excellent and a notch-free gives an extra viewing space made watching YouTube videos, Netflix sessions a delightful experience. The front looks neat, thanks to the all-screen design, with no notch, camera or any other visible hardware component. Overall the device looks stunning and I never got bored looking at the pop-up mechanism at play.
The Vivo V15 Pro is powered by latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. The performance is smooth with no visible signs of lag or stutter. A processor-intensive task such as multitasking works seamlessly without any hiccup. It runs on the company’s Funtouch OS UI based on Android 9 Pie. Overall the performance is good, but Vivo Funtouch user interface gives it a bad experience. By the way, we can change the User interface by installing a custom launcher. One of the standout features of the V15 Pro is the under the screen fingerprint sensor. A touch on your screen can get the device to unlock. However, the fingerprint scanner under-the-display is slightly slow compared to optical ones found elsewhere. The battery backup is really good, thanks to the large 3700mAh battery. This device feature Vivo’s dual engine quick charging technology, that’s why it took just 1 hour to reach 0% to 100%. Though it can fast charge, the phone still uses a micro USB port instead of type-c.
The highlight of the Vivo V15 pro was the pop-up camera. This is the second phone from vivo to feature selfie pop-up mechanism. It houses 32-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GD1 camera module with f/2.0 aperture. The moment you click selfie option within the camera app, the front camera pops up. To make it more realistic, even there is a pop-up sound which can change(Sci-Fi, Machine, Rhythm) or mute. Now, talking about the picture quality, the 32-megapixel front camera module can take sharp pictures including portrait mode. On the rear, there is a combination of 48MP + 5MP + 8MP triple camera setup. The 5MP used to capture depth, 8MP to capture 120-degree super wide angle shots, while the 48MP sensor captures impressive pictures. It has an f/1.8 aperture and Super Night Mode that stacks several photos with different exposure to enhance the clarity of dark images.
The Vivo V15 pro has a very clear message to consumers. It’s not selling for specs, it’s selling for AI camera and innovation. That’s all. If you want a powerful phone, look elsewhere. If you want innovation as well as a mind-blowing camera for the lowest price possible, then the V15 pro has been designed for you.
