Uber has rolled out a new subscription service known as UberPASS in India. It has been first launched in 4 major cities namely Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, and Mumbai. However, UberPASS is almost like what Ola offers in the form of Ola Share. Although, the UberPASS is a wonderful thing as it comes with discounted fares, waiver on cancellation charges, highly rated drivers and more features.
With the launch of this latest subscription feature from Uber, the customers will now get rides in more discounted rates than the regular UberGo and UberX even during the surge pricing. We are still looking forward to knowing all the offers included in UberPASS. As I said already, the UberPASS sounds very similar because it is almost like Ola Share. Ola Share has different prices for different cities.
In the same way, UberPASS will also have prices which will vary from city to city. This new option is not visible in Mumbai and Delhi customers as of now. Therefore, we are waiting for an app update. Just a few days back, Uber rolled out in India, the ‘Driver Compliments’ feature. This new initiative was taken to empower riders to acknowledge and encourage good behavior on part of their drivers. They also came up with Uber-specific Snapchat filters allowing customers to share their funny pics during the ride. This Uber-Specific Snapchat filter was announced in almost 29 different cities where Uber runs within India.
Announcing the pilot, Shailesh Sawlani, General Manager, West, Uber India said, “We are always thinking of new ways to enhance the Uber experience for our riders. UberPASS is one such product designed to offer riders using our service for their daily commute, a seamless and consistent ride experience. We are excited to launch UberPASS as a pilot for riders in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata and if our riders give us a thumbs up, we will take this to riders in other cities as well.”
