Samsung unveils its premium series Samsung Note every year. This year is no different, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was launched in India on Wednesday. The Note 9 was launched by DJ Koh, President and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics.
At the event, DJ Koh said, “I am very pleased to present the Galaxy Note9 on behalf of the 70,000 Samsung employees in India. Since Samsung entered the country in 1995, we have grown together with India and we are now the most beloved mobile brand,” He further added, “Note fans are Samsung’s most loyal; we know they want it all to get the most out of work and play, and Galaxy Note9 is the only phone that can keep up with their busy lives,” he added.
The Note 9 is focused on three main aspects Battery, Memory and finally Speed and Power. Moreover, the signature of the Note series, the S Pen now comes with Bluetooth Low-Energy (BLE) which should act as a remote as well assist in clicking selfies and group pictures, present slides, play and pause the video, and more. It will function just like a remote that lets you control your phone.
In terms of specs, the Note has the 6.4-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display paired with stereo speakers capable of delivering deliver Dolby Atmos® immersive audio which should provide the best viewing experience. The Note 9 has fast wireless charging, IP68 water and dust resistance, hybrid dual sim and Samsung services. To ensure security, the Note 9 has the options of fingerprint scanning, iris scanning as well as facial recognition. The Samsung Note 9 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo which is layered with the Samsung Experience UX on top. The device is powered by an octa-core Exynos 9810 SoC, coupled with 6GB and 8GB RAM options.
The Galaxy Note 9 will be available in two variants in terms of memory 128GB and 512GB and those who are still not satisfied with the memory can expand it up to 1TB. They will be priced at 67,900 and INR 84,900 respectively. The Note 9 will be available on sale starting from August 24 globally. The smartphone will be available in Midnight Black and Metallic Copper colours, with matching S Pen whereas the Ocean Blue colour variant will come with a yellow S Pen. With the help of Samsung DeX, users can have a PC like- experience.
The Note series is called out for the premium feel and the efficiency it offers, but with the cutthroat competition will Samsung be able to stay at the top of the charts with the current specifications and the high-end price?
