Its been raining broadband internet all over the country since Jio has launched their commercial trials of the Reliance Jio GigaFiber. Most of the telecom operators have been seriously trying to up their game in this department.
Tata Sky, one of the popular DTH service provider in India has launched its own broadband services in some of the major cities in India. This service is, however, available in 21 select cities across the country.
What makes the Tata Sky broadband service impressive are the plans and the pricing. Starting at Rs. 590 a month, the plan offers unlimited data at 16 Mbps along with a free router and data carryover. Other plans include unlimited data at Rs. 700 with 25 Mbps speed and Rs 800 for 50 Mpbs speed and unlimited data. The Rs 1100 plan offers 75 Mpbs speeds and Rs. 1300 plan offers 100 Mbps speeds. All the mentioned plans will come with no cap on data usage which means they are truly unlimited and are valid in Ahmedabad. Tata Sky has different pricing for different cities.
For users in Mumbai, the company is offering three unlimited plans at Rs. 999 with 25 Mbps, Rs. 1249 with 50 Mbps and Rs. 1599 with 100 Mbps speed. People in Hyderabad can also enjoy the plans, however, they have to subscribe to the plans for three months.
The Tata Sky broadband service was initially started in 14 cities until last month when the company has expanded its services to 21 cities in India including Surat, Indore, Navi Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune, Jaipur to name a few. Additionally, users can also opt for plans for 3 months, 5 months, 6 months and 12 months respectively.
