These on-ear sleek looking WH-XB700 headphones have taken design cues from the WH-1000XM3 which is a noise cancelling wireless headphones, but this one does not have noise cancellation. What it does have is some extra bass.
Sony products are known for their quality of products, sturdy nature and premium feel. The headphones will last 30 hours of play time with a single charge which will take you around 4 hours to charge it completely. And if you’re in a hurry, plug it in for 10 mins and you get 90 mins of play time. It supports USB Type-C and you even get a 3.5mm aux cable with an L shaped end. I prefer the L shaped end than a straight one. The 3.5mm aux cable makes my life easier as I don’t have to worry about charging the wireless headphones again and again.
The headphones also have three buttons on it to adjust the volume and pause a track. Just like the WH-1000XM3, it supports Voice assistant feature and you can use Sony’s “Headphones Connect” app to play around with the headphones’ Bass and Surround and Sound Position Control. I found the in-built microphone’s output crisp and clear.
The WH-XB700 is priced at Rs 8,990, which, I think is a really good deal as you get a quality product, but I would have liked it even more if there would have been a case with it, of course, that would have increased the cost of the overall product. Nevertheless, it still passes off as a premium product that offers superb build quality.
