Realme to keep its tag as the most disruptive brand has now launched its new smartphone – the Realme 3 pro which is a strong contender in the budget category and gives solid competition to its rival smartphone brands like Xiaomi and Nokia.

The new Realme 3 pro looks identical to its original Realme 3 which was launched a few months back. But instead of using simple gradient colour, the Realme 3 pro brings a light effect and pattern, combined with oblique gradient colours. The unit we received is a carbon grey variant, there are 2 more Colors available – the Nitro Blue and Lightening Purple.

On the front, RealMe 3 and 3 Pro look identical with the same teardrop notch and same IPS LCD panel, but it looks sharp, thanks to the full HD+ resolution. It also comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 to protect it from scratch and breaks.

We got a chance to use this phone for a week, and it performed smoothly without any lag. Thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor paired with 6GB RAM and a 128GB internal storage. There is an option to insert an external storage card in case you run out of storage.

Multitasking was smooth with no visible lag. The Snapdragon 710 along with 6GB RAM  made multitasking a smoother experience. Playing games such as PUBG and Asphalt 9 was indeed a satisfying experience. The phone recommends to play PUBG on high settings and it performs really well with marginal frame drops.

Talking about its Camera, the Realme 3 pro packs 16 megapixels + 5-megapixel sensor on the rear, the camera captures pretty decent shots even in low light. The clarity and details are up to the mark, but it lags behind when compared to the Redmi Note7 Pro. Another interesting feature which Realme has included is the 960 fps slow-mo recording giving it an extra edge over other budget smartphones. The result is not that impressive, but who doesn’t want some extra features on a phone.

At the front, the phone sports a 25-megapixel sensor with f1/7 aperture. The result is amazing with impressive clarity and sharpness. The camera app also has the beautify software to make your skin brighter and give it a soft tone.

Now coming towards the battery life, the Realme 3 Pro packs a huge 4045 mAh battery and for the first time, Realme phones come with VOOC adapter which charges phones from 0 to 100% within an hour. It is the most impressive feature for a budget smartphone.

We still have to test this device but before we come to a final conclusion, this is what we found during the initial testing phase. The phone performed exceptionally while multitasking. Even the gaming on this phone was a pleasant experience. The camera was impressive, especially the front camera. One of the most impressive features was the VOOC charging technology. Charging is now blazing fast, but Realme is having a hard time moving on from the micro USB port instead of switching to the Type-C.
