The Bullets headphones from OnePlus has received its latest update. The company announced in a blog post that the new Bullets headphones will come with a USB Type-C connector. The original Bullets V2 headphones launched with the OnePlus 6 and had a standard 3.5mm jack.
In a blog post, OnePlus showcased the new headphones, but did not provide any specifications of the headphones. The only details received so far is that the new headphones have replaced the 3.5mm jack with a Type-C interface.
With the imminent launch of the OnePlus 6T, the company’s CEO Carl Pei said that the next OnePlus smartphone will not have a headphone jack. During an interview with TechRadar, he added that it was the right time for the OnePlus smartphone to give up the 3.5mm jack for the new Type-C port.
In the interview, Carl Pei said that the company did not move to a Type-C interface when the trend picked up, as the number of users who owned wireless headphones was marginal.
The company has opted to move to Type-C port after the company said that 59% of its user base all already own wireless headphones now.
The OnePlus 6T is expected to launch with a 6.28-inch FullHD+ display. From the last leak, it is also expected that the OnePlus 6T will have an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The design of the smartphone is expected to be similar to Oppo R17 with a waterdrop notch.
The new OnePlus Bullets headphones with Type-C port have been launched for Rs 1,499 and is expected to go on sale at the time of the OnePlus 6T launch.
