At first glance, the design and feel of the device is completely different. The new Nokia 6.1 Plus sport a compact 5.8-inch FullView display along with a notch, the device looks extremely similar to iPhone X while holding. Due to its compact size, the device is manageable for single hand use. The Nokia 6.1 Plus has an aluminium frame for rigidity along with glass on the back. Structurally, the smartphone is pretty light and easy to hold. The fingerprint sensor and controls like volume and power keys are within reach even for someone with a medium-sized hand like mine. Overall, the whole package looks good and feel premium to hold. Though it has a glass body, the phone is not really slippery to hold which helps in keeping the grip firm. For audio, the Nokia 6.1 Plus comes with the same bottom firing speaker, and it is loud enough to watch movies in a quiet room. Also, it does come with a headphone jack.

Nokia is using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM. It also comes with 64GB of internal storage which can be further expandable by up to 400GB via. MicroSD card. Performance-wise, the Snapdragon 636 chipset is pretty good for the Nokia 6.1 Plus. The device was able to handle all of the tasks that you throw at it with ease. Whether that’s browsing the web, multitasking or playing games on the Nokia 6.1 Plus, it does it all rather well. With 4GB of RAM included, there is no chance of phone slowing down. The performance here is top-notch, the Nokia 6.1 Plus can do just about everything that a Snapdragon 845-powered device can perform. The Nokia 6.1 Plus gets a further boost because of the software, the device comes with Google’s Android One which is a clean, unmodified and well optimized operating system. Even software updates are much faster on Android One than the company’s baked OS. The Nokia 6.1 Plus has a non-removable 3,060 mAh battery which supports fast charging technology. On medium to high usage, the phone needs to be charged twice in a day.

In Nokia’s attempt to reduce the bezels on the Nokia 6.1 Plus, a notch had to be incorporated on the handset’s display. This device is fitted with a 16MP sensor to capture good selfies. The front camera takes an amazing shot in daylight but struggles a little in the low-light environment. Meanwhile, the rear camera packs 16MP + 5MP dual camera. Our testing showed that the rear camera performs reasonably well including Portrait shot.

Nokia 6.1 Plus smartphone comes with good features & performance for its price. It excels in all the departments but the rear camera and battery backup are slightly average. If you are willing to live with that, then Nokia 6.1 Plus should be a perfect choice.
