LG may unveil a rumored LG V30 smartphone soon. There’s a lot of buzz making rounds for LG’s latest venture. Reports state that LG is going use the OLED display in its upcoming flagship.

This new feature will sport a FullVision display. This means it doesn’t have any bezel. LG confirmed that its upcoming flagship model, the LG V30, will change to OLED with a QHD+ (1440 x 2880 pixels) resolution. This will give more battery life and durability to the device. The company claims that the plastic OLED P-OLED display tech will have curved edges on the sides. However, the image that was shared suggests that the smartphone won’t copy Samsung’s Edge feature. Also, the display will only be tapered slightly.

LG V30’s Specs and Features

The LG V30 display will acquire the 18:9 FullVision aspect ratios. This is similar to the LG G6. The company says it will cover 109 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. It will also support HDR10. LG also says that the upper and lower bezels have been reduced by 20 to 50 percent, despite the upcoming flagship being lower in overall form size than last year’s LG V20. The logo, LG confirms, has also been moved to the back panel.

LG Electronics Mobile Communications President Juno Cho mentioned, “Expertise in OLED has long been a core competency of LG, and the technology has always been seen as a potential value-add for smartphones. With competition in the global smartphone space fiercer now than ever, we felt that this was the right time to reintroduce OLED displays in our mobile products.”

The previous reports suggest that the LG V30 will come packed in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage capacities. The dimensions may measure up to 151.4×75.2×7.4mm. Rumors have it that the smartphone may be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. It will be packed with a 3200mAh battery.

The LG V30 smartphone is expected to be unveiled on August 31. The US pre-orders are set to begin from September 17. The device is expected to release on September 28, 2017.

We can’t wait for LG to release such a device for India as well!
