You might soon see the greatest Motorsport rivalry between McLaren and Ferrari now possibly touching wheels in the smartphones market. Smartphone manufacturing companies pairing with sport scar companies has become a thing now, Huawei’s pairing with Porsche for its Mate 20 RS Porsche Design edition smartphone, Oppo pairing up with Lamborghini for its Find X Lamborghini edition smartphone, and OnePlus recently unveiling their new OnePlus 6T McLaren edition smartphone on Wednesday, 13 December 2018 in Mumbai. With Lamborghini, Porsche, and McLaren in the race why should the mighty Italian car manufacturer Ferrari stay behind? A leaked image on China’s micro blogging website, Weibo leaked the specifications of Lenovo’s Z5s Ferrari Super Fast edition.
The Lenovo Z5s Ferrari Super Fast edition might have a 6.3 inches display screen, 12 GB of RAM under the hood, Snapdragon 845 chip set, 128 GB of internal memory, featuring a triple rear camera setup along with a fingerprint sensor at the back, and an in-display front camera in the center of the screen. If the specifications of the smartphone are actually true then it will set a new record in the RAM sector with OnePlus’ McLaren edition coming in second position with 10 GB of RAM. However, in the chip set sector, the McLaren edition smartphone and the Ferrari edition would match equally.
Although, the leaked images did not have any Ferrari badging on it and the authenticity of the post is still questionable. We will have to wait and see who finishes ahead in the smartphone race after Lenovo’s official launch of the smartphone.
