Jio has always been announcing several benefits to attract more customers like the launch of JioFibre and the Jio set-top box. The JioFibre has received about 1.5 crore registrations already and across 1600 towns in India. The recently launched Jio DTH set-top box with JioFibre has rolled out its existence into the market on 5th September this year. The Jio set-top box came along with the JioFibre with an android OS version installed in it. The device is available for users with different OTT apps installed like JioCinema, Jiotv+, JioSaavn and also Sony LIV, Hotstar, Voot and likewise. The set-top box will also support all the popular gaming controllers and has a built-in graphic card. It has Jio games installed in it supporting an AR and VR experience for the user.
The new Jio set-top box offers unparallel entertainment and gaming experience and is different from our regular programming set-top box since it does not offer you channels like Star and Colors. The set-top box is available for most JioFibre users across Delhi NCR. According to sources, the Jio TV set-up box will be available by the end of December this year across the country along with the JioFibre.
If you didn’t know, the set-top box comes free of cost, but the company charges around Rs. 2500 for the installation of JioFibre. The connection includes the set-top box, landline connection, and a broadband connection. They are not giving the set-top box separately and you will have to get JioFibre in order to avail set-top box.
