One of the new brand known by a name Centric has launched a good specs smartphone at low-end price margin. The introduction of new brands in the Indian mobile market is always good as a high degree of competition implies low prices. Centric introduced G1 – a smartphone which can compete with brands like Xiaomi and Coolpad that sports similar configuration and specs

The new Centric G1 has a minimalistic design, a solid built, cool and attractive back cover with sandstone finish and falls under the affordable price range. It weighs around 150 gms and sports a 5.5-inch HD IPS display. It looks bit big, but it’s comfortable in hand and the back panel comes with a sandstone finish which makes it non-slippery and feels good. Back panel can be easily removed to replace the battery and insert new SIM which supports 4G VoLTE networks. The device also supports microSD card for up to 256GB. The micro USB port and the 3.5mm audio jack located at the top. The volume rocker and power button are located on the left side of the device. The device is fit for those who would love to explore the world of smartphones and at the same time, it should be sturdy for Indian conditions. For the price which we are getting this device, I would say the design of the device definitely would win everyone hearts.

Performance plays one of the crucial role while purchasing a smartphone. Consumers want their phone to play high-quality games, multitask without hanging, etc. The Centric G1 houses a 1.3GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor, which is the best in the category backed by 3GB RAM  which takes care of the day-to-day performance. It also comes with internal storage of 16GB which may be sufficient for most of the users but they have the option of additional storage with MicroSD Card which can expand up to 256GB. The device also packs a massive 2900mAh battery which easily lasts for a day on moderate usage. Usually, we got more than 5 hours of Screen on time (SOT) with a mixture of multimedia content, surfing and gaming. The phone takes around an hour and a half to fully charge from 0-100 percent. Another plus point of this phone is the 4G VoLTE support to provide lightning fast internet speed.

Talking about the gaming performance, graphics intensive games like Asphalt 8, Modern Combat 5, Shadowgun, etc plays well with minor lag and drop of frame rates. As a budget device, it is expected and none in this range can play those games smoothly. However, it can smoothly play 3D games like Temple Run, Subway Surfers, etc. Overall, I would say it does a pretty decent job on both the aspects.

Centric G1 comes with rear camera of 8-Megapixel with LED flash and front camera of 5-Megapixel which makes this phone good for selfies too. So If you are a casual photographer then this phone will stand up to your needs. The camera UI is simple and easy to access all the controls in the camera application.

It’s a must buy, if you’re looking to get a budget device (below Rs 10,000) and want to have a smooth experience. The G1 will give you a brilliant looking device with a sandstone feel on the back, near perfect stock Android experience with awesome performance. The sandstone back is too good to be true and we do not blame you. Centric G1 is now a benchmark in the budget smartphone market and it will be very difficult for other brands to give this product a run for its money.
