Canon has launched the Powershot G7X III point and shoot camera, a follow up of the very popular Canon Powershot G7X II. It comes with a 20-Megapixel 1-inch stacked CMOS sensor and Canon DIGIC 8 image processor.
What is interesting is the video recording department. It can capture 4K videos at 30 frames per second, Full HD videos at 60/120p, HDR, High Frame Rate video with no crop. It also features a fully tilting 180-degree screen which also allows one for taking self-image/videos. It has a maximum ISO sensitivity of 12,800.
Other features include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a pop-up flash and USB-C type charging via a power supply. The G7X III is being touted as the next-generation vlogging camera as you can use the wireless connectivity and live-stream on YouTube.
Optically, the Canon G7X III comes with a 4.2x lens which covers 24-100mm f/1.8-2.8 (35mm equivalent) along with optical image stabilisation which is essential to have a handheld camera for those who vlog.
The 3-inch touchscreen LED panel on the back is capable of tilting 180-degrees up and 45-degrees of downward tilt. The camera also comes with an HDMI out, 30 FPS RAW shooting with One-Shot AF, an improved user-interface, Creative Assist and the essential microphone input jack.
