At a first look, you will definitely fall in love with the sleek design of the Asus Zenbook Flip S. It is also touted as the world’s first thinnest and lightest convertible laptop. It is just 11.2mm thin and weighing just 1.1 kg. So as the most high-end Zenbook, this Zenbook Flip S has an aluminium lid on the top which looks gorgeous and feels like a high-end machine. This ASUS also incorporates world’s compact hinges to allow the screen to flip around a full 360 degrees, which means you can select from three modes based on what you choose to do: Laptop, Tent, or Tablet. Speaking about ports, there is only two USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm Headphone jack and nothing else. The keyboard is fully backlit and looks quite compact as it squeezes to fit inside compact 13.3-inch Zenbook Flip S. They have added a fingerprint scanner on the right side of the laptop to quickly login to your Windows 10 OS.
ZenBook Flip S squeezes in a latest 8th-generation Coffee Lake quad-core i7-8550U processor and backs it up with 16GB of RAM. Despite the size of this ultrabook, the i7-850U is a full-fat, quad-core chip, which consumes max 15 watts. The new Intel Core i7-8550U is very fast and perform every task with ease, even multitasking is handled smoothly without any lag. Read and Write speed is also better because it packed with faster SSDs, that means opening large files are faster on Zenbook Flip S. Though Intel did upgrade Intel HD Graphics chip to Intel HD 620, but it is still not capable of running graphics intensive games like Battlefield 1, The Division, etc. So, better stay away from Gaming on Zenbook Flip S.
