AMD has finally unveiled their new products based on its new 7nm architecture for the PC gaming platform. AMD has launched the AMD Radeon RX 5700 series graphics cards, 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen Desktop Processors, as well as Ryzen 3000 Series Processors with Radeon Graphics.
Radeon RX 5700
The new Radeon RX 5700 graphics cards based on the RDNA architecture. The Radeon RX 5700 series would include three graphics cards, the Radeon RX 5700 XT, Radeon RX 5700, and the Radeon RX 5700 XT Anniversary Edition. The Navi based Radeon RX 5700 series is also the first graphics lineup to feature PCIe 4.0 support which gives twice the bandwidth when compared to PCIe 3.0.
The all-new EDNA architecture supports PCIe 4.0 and 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM. The Radeon 5700 graphics cards deliver up to 1.25x performance-per-clock and up to 1.5x performance-per-watt compared to the previous Graphic Core Next(GCN) architecture. The new architecture implements new features including Radeon mage Sharpening that brings crispness and clarity to in-game visuals; FidelityFX, an open-source toolkit with high-quality post-process effects and Radeon Anti-Lag that reduces input-to-display response times to give eSports gamers a competitive edge.
The latest Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition release also brings support for Radeon RX 5700 Series and other Radeon graphics cards with new features. The AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT and AMD Radeon RX 5700 are priced at $399 and $349 respectively. The AMD 50th Anniversary Edition Radeon RX 5700 XT is available for $449.
AMD 3rd Generation Ryzen Desktop Processors
There are six SKUs in the lineup which include the Ryzen 5 3600, Ryzen 5 3600X, Ryzen 7 3700, Ryzen 7 3700X, Ryzen 7 3800X and the Ryzen 9 3900X. Based on the new “Zen 2” architecture with 7nm process technology and utilizing the X570 chipset featuring PCIe 4.0, the 3rd Gen Ryzen delivers world-class gaming, game streaming, and content creation performance giving it a 58% higher performance-per-watt than the competition. The major highlight include an entirely redesigned execution pipeline, major floating point advances which doubled the floating point registers to 256-bit and double bandwidth for load/store units.
With AMD Precision Boost Overdrive, the 3rd Gen Ryzen can increase the maximum clock frequency by up to 200MHz at the touch of a button. 3rd Gen Ryzen Desktop Processors are available starting at just $199.
Ryzen 3000 Series Processors with Radeon Graphics
The new AMD Ryzen 3000 Series processors with Radeon Graphics are armed with higher clock speeds, super-fast graphics and new drivers to provide the world’s most powerful graphics on a desktop processor with the Ryzen 5 3400G. Ryzen 3000 Series Processors with Radeon Graphics are available starting at $99.
