The Redmi Note 5 Pro is now available in a red variant from Xiaomi’s online store starting from Rs 14,999. After teasing the news of the launch on Twitter, the phone was finally unveiled today by Manu Kumar Jain, Managing Director of Xiaomi India in a post.
The smartphone is available in an additional colour option and there are no changes to the specifications. The Redmi Note 5 Pro is available in two variants; either 4GB or 6GB with 64GB internal storage.
The company has announced that the red variant is currently available from the Mi online store and will soon be available on Flipkart as well.
The Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 636 octa-core chipset and a 4,000 mAh battery pack. It sports a 5.99-inch FullHD+ display with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. The 18:9 aspect ratio of the display follows the trend of tall displays like most smartphones of 2018.

When it comes to camera specifications, the Redmi Note 5 Pro has dual-camera setup at the back with 12-megapixel primary lens and a 5-megapixel secondary lens. For selfie enthusiasts, the smartphone has a 20-megapixel front-facing camera.
Other connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0 and WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. The Redmi Note 5 Pro runs on MIUI 9 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and is soon to receive MIUI 10 update.
