Xiaomi has unveiled the ‘Made in India’ Mi Power Bank 2i series on its Mi Store along by launching it at brick-and-mortar Mi Homes across several cities in the country. The device comes in two models— 20,000mAh, which costs 1499 INR, and 10,000mAh, which costs 799 INR, respectively.
The company states that the brand new Power Bank 2i series will be available for purchase across all the Mi Preferred Partner stores plus all the large format retail partners from next month.
The mi 2i comes equipped with a single-port Quick Charge 3.0 support. It also uses some high-density lithium polymer batteries inside. The power bank also incorporates the dual (5.1V/ 3.6A) USB output feature. This means that users can charge two devices at the same time with this battery.
Based on the device’s capacity, the mega battery house can also charge smartphones and tablets for multiple times.
The company alleges the Mi Power Bank 2i (20,000mAh) is capable of charging the Mi A1 4.3 times and Apple iPhone 7 or the iPad mini 4 series up to 7.1 times or 2.5 times.
The 10000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i is capable of charging the Mi A1 up to 2.2 times. It can also charge the Redmi Note 4 up to 1.5 times.
The Mi Power Bank 2i series are being amassed in India itself, locally. Xiaomi has successfully inaugurated its third manufacturing unit, which is based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. This unit entirely manufactures the mobile accessories. But, the Noida unit is managed by Hipad Technologies, which is responsible for supplying material to Xiaomi in China.
The latest plant makes use of the built-up area of around 2.3 lakh square feet. The plant is fully capable of producing 7 power banks in a minute during the working hours.
Xiaomi also has two amassing plants in Sri City, which is located in Andhra Pradesh. This is responsible to assemble 95 percent of all Redmi and Mi and series phones that are sold in India. An exciting fact about the two functionalities is they have 5,000 employees working, and 90 percent of them are women.
