Miss expressing your emotions via text status messages on WhatsApp? Feel like this image and video thing is a bit too much as a status message, and that too for just 24hrs maximum? Cheer up as the good ol’ text status is back.
This old “text status” feature is available now which is called “About and phone number”. Users can access it by going to their profile tabs into settings. Although, it is called by a different name but it works as the old “text status”. However, at present, this feature is available only to Android users.
Last month, WhatsApp had introduced new status feature which was also called Status which allows users to add short video and pictures and to share it with their friends. The new status feature works similar to that of the Snapchat and Instagram stories.
When WhatsApp introduced this new status feature, it removed old “text status” feature which many WhatsApp users disliked and disapproved. The urge and demand to get back the old “text status” was high throughout these weeks. Accepting the users’ demand, WhatsApp reintroduce old “text status” feature in the new version of WhatsApp 2.17.111.
Steps to set up old “text status”
