How often have you sent a WhatsApp message to the wrong thread? Or have you shared something personal with a professional contact? Everyone has gotten into a bit of drunk-messaging for sure! If you have done all this, then surely you’d understand the embarrassment that follows. The wish to leave the planet and obliterate your existence is real especially at times like these. WhatsApp has brought a solution to this problem. Other messaging apps such as Telegram, WeChat and Viber already have the choice to delete sent messages from a thread. It seems that a feature called WhatsApp Delete for everyone will be rolled out soon.

WhatsApp Delete for everyone feature

The WhatsApp Delete for everyone will let users delete messages, which have been sent by mistake. And you can do this before your contact reads them. According to some reports, tests are being conducted on Android and iOS devices. According to some media portals, the dedicated recall server is working well and simply deleting the messages. Most users can’t access to this program until the feature is enabled for everyone to use. So, all of you will have to wait a little.

The question that persists is that what’s so wonderful about this feature? As per the screenshots by the WABetaInfo, all the recalled texts will simultaneously disappear from the Notification Center. This case is applicable to both Android and iOS devices. Rumors about the WhatsApp Delete for everyone started taking rounds across the web when users noticed signs of this feature in the WhatsApp’s code. Speculations rose up that the company could have enabled the feature back in June.

The Delete for everyone feature is used in an August beta version of the app for all the Windows phones. This is a clear-cut sign that the feature will be rolled out soon enough for the Android and iOS devices. However, we don’t know when this would happen, so fingers crossed. There are plenty of people out there who need this feature.
