Twitter users can expect the micro-blogging site to roll out new features in the future. According to a tweet by Jack Dorsey, Twitter is in the works of testing out a new layout for threading.
A new feature called Presence will also show users if anyone is online at the time they do add a comment to the tweet. At the time you head over to your tweet to view the comment, the profile picture of the user will be marked with a green dot, just like the ones in most messaging apps.
As seen in the tweet below, the threading feature is getting a refreshed layout similar to comment strings in Facebook.
hey Twitter. we’ve been playing with some rough features to make it feel more conversational here. presence and reply threading. still early and iterating on these ideas. thoughts? pic.twitter.com/3U3NvpHWPy

With threading, Twitter had introduced the option of adding one tweet after another with showing the continuity of the post. The same feature may soon roll out to comments in the coming months.
