The Much Awaited Google User’s Choice Awards 2018

Since the launch of Google play in 2008, it has been the most used interface to download application, ebooks and games. For the first time in its 10 yrs of being introduced worldwide, Google Play had launched a massive global User’s Choice awards.

Users from all over the world had a chance to vote for their favorite games, movies and apps among many other categories. After months of millions of voting, the lists of winners were unveiled recently. Though some of the winners were expected, there were many surprise choices for winners in various categories.

PUBG was already a sensational phenomenon since its launch last year. There are hardly any game lovers who have not played this stunning game. Extremely sophisticated animation with an equally impressive and mind boggling plot, the PUBG interface has already been quoted by many as the best ever seen. It was not a surprise when PUBG was declared Fan favorite game of 2018. It was also the winner of Best Game of 2018.

Fan Favorite app of 2018 was YouTube, which again was not a surprise because YouTube has no alternative nor does it have competition. YouTube over the years has been a strong contender and extremely important app installed in almost every smartphone. The video app is simply one of the best creations ever.

Best App of 2018 however was awarded to Drops: Learn 31 new languages.

Fan Favorite Movie of 2018 was Avengers Infinity War Part 1 which was again the biggest blockbuster of the year 2018 without any doubt.


The Top five movies of 2018 according to Google User’s Choice awards included Avenger Infinity War, Thor Ragnarok, Jumanji, Deadpool 2 and Black Panther.

Other categories included the Top Five eBooks, TV shows and Audiobooks of 2018.

The Top Five TV Shows of 2018 included well known and big time success series The Walking Dead, Riverdale, The Big Bang Theory, PAW Patrol and The Flash. 


Top Five eBooks of 2018 included the bestseller of 2018 Fire and Fury by Micheal Wolff, Fear by Woodward, The Outsider by Stephen King, 12 Rules for life by Jordan Peterson, and Girl; wash your face by Rachel Hollis.

The Top Five audiobooks of 2018 had the same list with a surprising and much welcomed addition “Becoming by Michelle Obama”.
