Smartron showcases tronX- an AI powered IoT platform

Indian technology brand Smartron has been focusing its energies heavily on connected homes via IoT (internet of things) and we were invited to check out one such model at Smartron’s HQ in Hyderabad. The basic idea behind this automation is to create an interconnected system between all devices which can interact with each other, remember your patterns and make life easier for you. Motion sensing lights, face-sensing door locks, smart electric switches are all connected and paired up with one t-hub which can be controlled via an app on your smartphone. The limits for a such a system are limitless and many such innovations are ongoing in many Western Countries like Google’s Alexa. Smartron is working on similar lines for the Indian market and plans to launch its services at a very affordable price point. At the event, Mahesh Lingareddy (Chairman, Smartron) hinted that we can expect a tronX connected smart home setup starting at Rs. 30k-40k for a 2BHK house.

Speaking at the showcasing event Mahesh Lingareddy, Founder and Chairman, Smartron said,“Smartron has been working for more than two years on creating a new connected ecosystem fueled by AI +IoT and tronX™ is at the core of this brave new world. We are proud and excited to unveil tronX™ today, a first of its kind AI powered IoT platform and a kind of next gen OS designed to run seamlessly across wide range of devices, sensors, vehicles and systems. This allows us to deliver highly intelligent and localized experiences, services and care support critical to IOT success. Hardware innovation spurred by IoT and AI is the next big wave in technology and with this launch, we are opening up an ecosystem to our partners that is Indian at its roots and global in its outlook. We already have many companies that have partnered with us in delivering innovative HW and SW solutions.”To begin with, Smartron announced four verticals that are in the works at their R&D facility and already have built incapabilities that integrate in our lives: tronX™ Personal, tronX™ Health, tronX™ Home, and tronX™ Infra.

Looks like the futuristic connected homes are already here! Watch out this space in the future for more such updates about IoT and connected homes!
