A large number of smartphone manufacturers are bringing in devices for consumers interested in the stock Android through Google’s Android One platform. Motorola may bring new devices to its portfolio with the launch of the Motorola One and the One Power with the latter launching in India soon.
XDA Developers have compiled a specifications list of the two devices based on press release materials, TENAA leaks and Amazon Spain product page.
The Motorola One comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625, 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. In terms of display, the smartphone sports a 5.9-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1520×720 pixels.
The Motorola One has 3000 mAh battery pack that charges quickly over USB Type-C. It also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a fingerprint scanner at the rear.
The smartphone gets a dual camera setup on the back with a 13-megapixel lens with f/2.0 aperture and a 2-megapixel lens f/2.4 aperture. For selfie enthusiasts, the company has added an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture and support for portrait mode.
The Motorola One Power comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 under the hood. The smartphone will be available in 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM combined with 64GB of storage. The One Power sports a 6.2-inch FullHD+ display with a resolution of 2246×1080 pixels.
The smartphone has a 4,850 mAh battery pack that supports Motorola’s TurboPower over USB Type-C. It also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack and fingerprint scanner at the back. From the images, it may seem that the Motorola logo at the back has finally been converted into the fingerprint scanner after much demand from fans.
In terms of camera, the Motorola One Power has a dual camera setup as well. The primary camera is a 16-megapixel camera and the secondary camera is 5-megapixel. The front-facing camera is 8-megapixel.
Both the devices have a notched 19:9 display and run on Android Oreo out-of-the-box. The company has said that the devices will be supported for future updates until Android Q and 3 additional years of security patches.
While the Motorola One will be available in Europe, Latin America, and the Asia Pacific for €299 (approximately Rs 25,000) in the coming months, the Motorola One Power may available in India by end of September with the pricing yet to be announced.
