Xiaomi has finally launched the Redmi 6A, the Redmi 6 Pro and the Redmi 6 in India. The company has refreshed last year’s Redmi 5A and Redmi 5 with the new devices to continue its reign over budget devices.
Xiaomi Redmi 6A specifications, price and availability
The Xiaomi Redmi 6A comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. In terms of design, the Redmi 6A has brushed metallic body similar to last year’s model. The device comes with 3,000 mAh battery pack, a dedicated MicroSD card slot, dual 4G VoLTE standby and MIUI 9 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
The Redmi 6A comes with a quad-core 2 GHz Helio A22 based on the 12nm FinFET architecture. The smartphone also comes with 2+1 sim slot with dedicated MicroSD card slot. The Redmi 6A runs on MIUI 9 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and will receive MIUI 10.
The camera specifications of the Redmi 6A consists of a 13-megapixel camera with PDAF and EIS. For selfie enthusiasts, the smartphone has a 5-megapixel camera that includes support for AI portrait modes.
The Redmi 6A is priced at Rs 5,999 for the 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage and the 3GB RAM with 32GB internal variant is priced at Rs 6,999. The smartphone goes on sale from 19th September 2018 from 12 pm and is available from both Mi online store as well as Mi Home and other offline stores.

The Xiaomi Redmi 6 has a 5.45-inch HD+ display sporting an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone has a brushed metallic body like the Redmi 6A and houses a 3,000 mAh battery pack.
At the heart of the Redmi 6 is an octa-core Helio P22 chipset clocked at 2 GHz. The smartphone is the first to incorporate a 12nm chipset. It consists of four Cortex-A53 cores for performance and another four assigned for efficiency clocked at 1.5 GHz.
The Redmi 6 sports a dual-camera setup at the back. The primary lens is a 12-megapixel camera and the second lens is a 5-megapixel camera. The camera supports AI portraits and beautification modes.
The smartphone is available in Black, Gold, Rose Gold and Blue colour options and will go on sale from 12 pm on 10th September. The Redmi 6 comes in 3GB RAM variants with either 32GB or 64GB internal storage priced at Rs 7,999 and Rs 9,499 respectively.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro specifications, price and availability
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro is the company’s first smartphone with a notched display. The smartphone has a 5.84-inch FullHD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The design of the smartphone is similar to the Redmi Note 5 with an aluminium body.
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core chipset clocked at 2 GHz. It also comes with a 4,000 mAh battery pack. Xiaomi claims that the battery on the Redmi 6 Pro can last up to 2 days.
The Redmi 6 Pro has a vertical dual-camera setup with a primary 12-megapixel lens and a 5-megapixel secondary lens. The camera also supports Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS).
The smartphone is available in two variants. The 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage variant is priced at Rs 10,999 while the 4GB RAM with 64GB variant is available for Rs 12,999. The Redmi 6 Pro will go on sale at 12 PM on 11th September.
Xiaomi has announced that users with HDFC credit and debit cards will get additional Rs 500 discount when purchasing the Redmi 6 and the Redmi 6 Pro.
