InFocus Vision 3 Pro
Infocus Vision 3 Pro is a successor of Vision 3 which was launched last year in December. The Vision 3 Pro offers an improvement over hardware and design with a small bump in price. The design of the phone looks similar and sturdy, though the body is made out of plastic. It does come with a 5.7-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The HD+ display makes it less exciting as other brands offer full HD+ display at a similar price. The Vision 3 Pro comes with 13MP + 8MP dual camera setup, capturing pictures using dual camera setup turned out to be moderate. On the front, it houses 13MP camera, which didn’t impress me either. Talking about performance, the 4GB of RAM is paired with mid-range octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor. This provides plenty of space to multitask with amazing performance. It is also overlaid with InFocus InLife UI over the top of Android Nougat. In terms of battery, the device is packed with whooping 4000 mAh battery. This offers at least a day of battery life with moderate usage.
Price: ₹ 10,999
For the price, the InFocus 3 Pro is a good-looking smartphone, with capable specs. But, it does fall short when comparing with Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Realme 1.
Gionee S11 Lite
As the market is getting crowded by mid-range bezelless smartphone, Gionee has also made a jump by bringing 18:9 bezel-less display to a mid-range smartphone market. The rear side of the Gionee S11 Lite is eyecatching thanks to the glossy look on the rear, but it is made up of plastic. The fingerprint sensor is located on the rear of the handset, and we found it easy to reach when holding the phone. The 18:9 display sports HD+ resolution, that makes it less attractive against its competitors. Talking about camera, S11 Lite offers a dual camera on the rear, consisting of 13MP and 2MP camera, it takes decent photos in bright daylight but struggles to capture in low light. The front-facing camera clicks sharp pictures with a 16-megapixel sensor. Overall, the Gionee S11 Lite is impressive but not perfect.
The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded by up to 256GB using microSD. The S11 Lite can handle a daily task, but we did encounter slight lag while multitasking. The S11 Lite runs on Android 7.0 Nougat under company’s custom Amigo 5.0.
Price: ₹ 13,999
The Gionee S11 Lite is a perfect balance between style and efficiency which are the specific feature you need in a midrange smartphone. However, at the same price point, you can find much better smartphone from Xiaomi, Moto, Asus and Realme.
Mobiistar XQ Dual
Mobiistar made a debut with the launch of budget-friendly dual selfie smartphone – XQ Dual. At first glance, the XQ Dual looks last generation device due to the old 16:9 display ratio, while most of the brands at 8k budget started offering 18:9 display ratio. It houses 5.5-inch full HD LCD display that offers 400ppi. Talking about the performance, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor paired with 3GB RAM. Although the processor is a bit older, comparing price, both of them offer fast performance and smooth multitasking at moderate usage. User Interface is clean, but the XQ Dual is stuck with Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system instead of Oreo. It also comes with the 13MP camera on the rear. The main highlight of the smartphone is the dual selfie camera, which includes 13MP primary camera and an 8MP secondary camera with wide angle lens, having a field of view of 120-degrees. I did capture photos using the front camera, and the quality turned out to be good. Wide-angle offer fisheye effect similar to the GoPro action camera.
Price: ₹ 7,999
Overall, Mobiistar XQ Dual is a value for money device and offers good performance for its price range. It has a dual selfie camera, great battery life, 4G VoLTE support plus it is capable of handling most of the tasks with ease. But it does lack some key features including 18:9 display ratio and Oreo support.
