After the last leak of the OnePlus 6T was proved to be a fake, a second leak of the smartphone has surfaced. This time, the leak in question is supposedly the retail box of the new OnePlus 6T, and there are a few details we can see.
According to a post on Weibo, the image shows the interior of the box with a diagrammatic representation of the device to show the new in-screen fingerprint scanner. OnePlus will be the third company to use a fingerprint scanner right under the display.
Apart from the in-screen fingerprint scanner, the design of the smartphone shows that the company is trimming down the notch from the OnePlus 6 to a waterdrop notch like on the Oppo F9. The design of the smartphone remains the same as the OnePlus 6.
OnePlus is known to take design cues from Oppo’s R series smartphones in the past. There are speculations and leaks similar in nature which suggest that the company will use the same design for the OnePlus 6T.
The internal specification of the OnePlus 6T is expected to include the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset combined with either 6GB or 8GB RAM. For internal storage, the OnePlus 6T may have both 128GB and 256GB variants.
The OnePlus 6T may sport the same 6.28-inch FullHD+ display like on the OnePlus 6. The smartphone may also have the same vertical dual-camera with an upgraded lens. OnePlus may soon rebrand Dash Charge when the 6T is finally launched.
The OnePlus 6 was launched in May this year at a starting price of Rs 34,999. The smartphone was available exclusively on Amazon and OnePlus online and offline stores.
