Now, with the latest OxygenOS 4.1.7 update, the tech company states that they have enhanced the fluidity of the system. The company has also brought about some battery optimizations. On the other hand, the Android security patch has been updated to August. Apart from these alterations, the company also alleges to have fixed quite a few bugs regarding the platform with the latest update. Carl Pei stated in a Tweet on Tuesday, 22 August 2017, “Saw some confusion about this: OxygenOS 4.1.7 for 3/3T does indeed come with touch latency improvements.”
OnePlus Company also says that the update will eradicate the Hangouts app. Hangouts will only be removed if it is not updated from Google Play, due to a request made by Google. The new OxygenOS 4.1.7 update will apparently be able to fix a sound channel error. This sound channel error showed up while recording videos. There were issues where calls were being routed to speaker unintentionally by some third-party apps. There was also a rendering issue in Kannada language.
Particularly, the update also fixes or the App Locker, third-party app issue. It was recently discovered that an app launcher app from Google Play could be used to effortlessly sidestep the app lockers offered on OxygenOS.
