Both OnePlus 3 and 3T Updated with OxygenOS 4.1.7

OnePlus now comes updated with OxygenOS 4.1.7 update. This brand new update to the OnePlus 3 and 3T smartphones successfully brings about some much-awaited touch latency improvements. Apart from all this, the update is also capable of providing battery optimizations and Android security patches for this month of August as well. Remarkably, if users have still not updated their Google Hangouts applications in their phones, then this app will be automatically be removed with the help of the new update.

Problems in OnePlus Devices

Just for a reminder, all the users of OnePlus 3 and 3T smartphones began to start reporting about the touch latency issues with the both the smartphones in the previous year itself. Now, with the latest OxygenOS 4.1.7 update, the tech company states that they have enhanced the fluidity of the system. The company has also brought about some battery optimizations. On the other hand, the Android security patch has been updated to August. Apart from these alterations, the company also alleges to have fixed quite a few bugs regarding the platform with the latest update. Carl Pei stated in a Tweet on Tuesday, 22 August 2017, “Saw some confusion about this: OxygenOS 4.1.7 for 3/3T does indeed come with touch latency improvements.”

OnePlus Company also says that the update will eradicate the Hangouts app. Hangouts will only be removed if it is not updated from Google Play, due to a request made by Google. The new OxygenOS 4.1.7 update will apparently be able to fix a sound channel error. This sound channel error showed up while recording videos. There were issues where calls were being routed to speaker unintentionally by some third-party apps. There was also a rendering issue in Kannada language.

Particularly, the update also fixes or the App Locker, third-party app issue. It was recently discovered that an app launcher app from Google Play could be used to effortlessly sidestep the app lockers offered on OxygenOS. It is excellent to know that the corporation has acted rapidly towards solving the issues faced by users.
