Moto Z3 Play launches after being in rumours for months. It happens to be the first Moto Z Play model to be featuring dual rear camera setup continuing the legacy of Moto Mods.

Moto Z3 Play has been rolled out officially. This latest smartphone has continued the legacy to feature modular technology for enhancing the user experience via Moto Mods. It also happens to the very first Moto Z Play model to come up with dual rear camera setup. Some more highlights of this phone includes Moto Actions, One Button Navigation bar for offering gesture controls just like iPhone X. It also comes equipped with Moto Power Pack mod for widening the battery life as long as 40 hours on a single charge.

This dual-SIM (Nano) phone sports a 6.01-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display. Along with this, it features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection with an aspect ratio of 18:9 Max Vision and a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. It has 79% of screen-to-body ratio. This phone is built with the help of 6000 series polished aluminium frame that also has a splash-resistant P2i nano-coating.
Moto Z3 Play comes with a bunch of Moto Experiences that includes Moto Actions and Moto Display. As mentioned earlier, the key feature of the phone is the proprietary One Button Nav bar at the bottom for enabling gesture controls like the iPhone X. There are 4 microphones along with a low power natural language processing for offering an uplifted Google Assistant experience. Along with this, this phone also has a front port loudspeaker and comes with a USB Type-C to 3.5mm adapter for pleasing the audiophiles.

The Moto Z3 Play is powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC coupled with Adreno 509 GPU and runs Android 8.1 Oreo. Talking about the camera specifications, the smartphone has a dual rear camera setup consisting a 12-Megapixel primary lens with an f/1.7 aperture and a 5-Megapixel secondary depth lens with Dual Autofocus Pixel (pDAF) technology – paired with dual LED flash. The camera features also includes portrait mode, spot color, Cinematographs, active photos, cutout mode, panorama, face filters, manual mode, YouTube Live mode, object recognition, landmark, real-time translator powered by Google Lens, and text scanner. Along with this, an 8-Megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture with 84-degree lens. The front camera sports features like active photos, face filters, face beauty, and group selfie mode in addition for Face Unlock.
The storage capacity boasts of 4GB RAM with 32GB and 64GB onboard storage options and both of them are expandable via microSD card up to 2TB. In terms of connectivity, it includes 4G LTE, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v5.0, and NFC. Moto Z3 Play Price and Availability
Moto Z3 Play is priced at BRL 2,299 in Brazil (approx. 40,000 INR) with global availability starting at the end of this month. This phone will also be available in the US anytime this summer at $499 (approx. 33,500 INR) along with the Moto Power Pack. It will hit stores including Target, Fry’s, B&H Photo, Walmart, and Best Buy. This latest smartphone will be available via SaskTel, Videotron, Virgin Mobile, MTS, and Bell Mobility in Canada. The availability and price details of the Moto Z3 Play in India has not been revealed as of now.
