LG unveils K7 & K10 with Make in India initiative

The big guns LG have also entered the mid segment market and will give other mobile brands a run for their money. LG Electronics India Limited (LGEIL) today announced the launch of K7 and K10, the first smart phones the company will be making in India. The move reiterates the company’s long term commitment to India and its customers in the country. The K series phones will be an enormous boost to the Indian market, making a point that India is ready to produce smart phones as well. When you have companies like LG giving them the backing they need and all the components to produce devices in India, you definitely couldn’t ask for anything more.\n

\nThe launch of K series was graced by by Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Union Minister, Communications and IT, Government of India, Mr Pankaj Mahindroo, Founder and National President, Indian Cellular Association, Mr. J.S.Deepak, Secretary Dept. of Telecommunication, Dr. Aruna Sharma, Secretary Department of Electronics & IT, Mr Rajiv Bansal, Secretary – Electronics, DeitY and Mr Kim Ki Wan, Managing Director of LG India.\n

\nThe first of its kind, the K series features unique glossy pebble design, advanced camera tech and the freedom to click selfies without tapping on your phone. It also comes with Gesture Shot and Gesture Interval Shot, now taking selfies is easy and hassle-free. Gesture Shot enables users to take photos simply by raising an open hand in front of the lens and then clenching it into a fist. Closing one’s hand twice automatically leads to the Gesture Interval Shot and will produce four consecutive photos. Other standout features comprises of VoLTE and VoWI-Fi. \nThe glossy pebble design is complemented by LG’s new 2.5D Arc Glass for a smooth and seamless style that could only be made possible due to the sides of K-series phones being free of button clutter. With design cues borrowed from nature, the K10 and K7 look far more expensive and exclusive than they really are. The back cover features an intricate woven pattern for optimal grip.\n
