Rating : 80/100

How does it feel out of the box?

When we first got our hands-on with the device, the first impression was the device looks exactly like enlarged iPhone 5. Lenovo went with both side glass design with slightly round edges. Back glass is prone to smudges and it is highly slippery, so better to keep your device safe from the drop. The side of the device is made by Fiber Glass Frame, which feels quite solid in hands; even Lenovo confirms it is 45% lighter than aluminum and 25% stronger than aluminum.

How does it perform?

Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Processor coupled with Adreno 530 GPU powers Lenovo Z2 Plus. Followed by 4GB RAM and 64 GB internal memory, though there is 3GB RAM and 32GB memory variant available as well. It runs on U-touch 2.0 UI on top of Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS. The UI is highly customized with no bloatware, which is the plus point for any smartphone users. Z2 Plus even offers fingerprint sensor, comes with smart gestures as well. Depending on gesture, users can switch between apps, go a step back or forward or even open Google now. Z2 Plus comes along with ‘U-Health’ app which can track your sleep, distance and calories burned.lenovo-z2-plus-specs

How is the camera?

Lenovo tout improvements in the camera sensor, using a “large pixel” feature to capture a better image in low light conditions. There’s a 13 Megapixel rear camera sensor with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash support. Boom, I can record 4K videos and it is four times better than full HD 1080p quality videos. Overall video quality is above average and slow motion videos are quite impressive. We can select from 120fps, 240fps and 960fps modes, where 240 and 960 fps slow motion is amazing. Picture Quality from Front camera is average 8 Megapixel, but the picture quality is average.

What is the verdict?

Overall, the Lenovo Z2 Plus is a good smartphone in terms of Performance and Battery Life. However, the camera is not as we have expected. We are not saying that the camera is underwhelming, but it doesn’t help out in many situations. That’s being said, if you’re looking for premium looking smartphone with compact form factor and powerful hardware, then Lenovo Z2 Plus is truly made for you.
