LeEco, the company who is famous for making affordable smartphones and TV’s are now back again with the latest Super4 television segment in India. LeEco Super3 TV series was launched last year in 2016. We got our hands on the 40-inch X40 TV and here’s what we think of it. Read on to find out LeEco Super4 X40 full HD Smart TV review with details on design, build quality, display quality, audio, UI and more.
HOW DOES IT FEEL OUT OF THE BOX?
The 40-inch LeEco Super4 X40 is the first base model of the LeEco Super4 series. The new TV got some attractive tricks up its sleeve – including 60Hz motion processing system and a cute, ultra-slim design. Instead of black mold chassis, LeECo chooses to use silver plastic and aluminium for its new Super4 X40 TV. The panel has an aluminium backing and is super-slim at only 9mm. The lower portion hides internal components in a bulge that makes the total thickness 1.3 inches.
The X40 has three HDMI 2.0 ports, all with HDCP 2.2. It also supports Analog video through a VGA connector and a 3.5mm plug which can receive a composite signal and stereo audio through an included adapter. Two USB ports allow for content to be viewed from a flash drive. You also get a LAN input and a built-in 802.11ac WiFi. Bluetooth support is included for things like keyboards and control apps.
HOW DOES IT PERFORM?
The X40 is powered by a Master 6A938 Quad-core processor driving a full HD (1920×1080 pixels) LED LCD panel. It has Mali T820MP3*4 GPU to provide smooth and stunning graphics on an X40 TV. The X40 has 3GB of RAM to provide better multitasking on a huge 40-inch LeEco X40 TV. It has a built-in 16GB of internal memory to store and install your favourite apps from Android Playstore.
Instead of Android TV, the LeEco Super4 X40 runs on Android Marshmallow based operating system specially customized by LeEco development team. LeEco offers EUI 5.8 User Interface with a live broadcast of multiple contents with Electronic Programming Guide support. WiFi performance is exceptional as the X40 supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz band.
Without any doubt, this smart TV is totally worth it. You are getting a 4K 40-inch LED TV with Android marshmallow operating system. There are no cons except the speaker which are good according to LED standard, but you will definitely need to buy a good pair of speakers. Now there are better LED TV’s available for in the market, but no LED TV comes close to this price segment that LeEco offers. It is also worth mentioning that the LeEco X4-40 TV comes with 2 years warranty.
