Jio Phone 2 launches in India at 2,999 INR as part of an introductory offer with WhatsApp support and QWERTY keypad.

The Jio Phone 2 4G feature phone was launched at the Reliance Industries Limited AGM today by RIL Chairman Mr. Mukesh Ambani. It is definitely a revamped model of its predecessor with lots of improvements in terms of features and design. The latest phone comes with support for apps like WhatsApp and YouTube as well as the original handset launched last year. It has a horizontal rectangular shaped design like Blackberry with QWERTY keypad. During the event, the company also rolled out the Jio GigaFiber home broadband service.

The RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani has announced the Jio Phone Monsoon Hungama offer that allows existing feature phone users for exchanging their current device for the Jio Phone for just Rs. 501. The offer starts from 21st July. It is being made available in the Indian market starting from 15th August at an introductory price at 2,999 INR.
Jio Phone 2 Specifications and Features
The Jio Phone 2 is a dual-SIM slot (Nano) phone sporting a 2.4-inch QVGA display and runs on KAI OS. The storage capacity boasts off a 512MB RAM expandable up to 128GB via micro card along with 4GB internal memory. The connectivity options include VoWiFi, NFC, GPS, VoLTE, FM radio, and Bluetooth. The battery of the Jio Phone 2 is 2000mAh. The phone also supports 2G Band 900/1800, LTE Cat4 DL: 150Mbps/UL: 50Mbps, and LTE Band 2,5,40. It has a four way navigation key and a dedicated button for voice command similar to the previous Jio Phone.
