Huawei will introduce the Y9 to India which is going to be launched in Delhi on 10 January 2019. The Y9 was already released in the Chinese market in October last year. It is also called the Huawei Enjoy 9 Plus in China. It is expected to have the same specifications as its initial release in China.
Y9 features a bigger screen of 6.5-inches with full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. On the front, in its notch design, it showcases a dual camera setup for shooting selfies up to 13 MP with an f/1.8 aperture and the secondary 2 MP camera with an f/2.4 aperture with flash. The rear camera again houses a dual camera setup, the primary camera capable of shooting up to 16 MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture and the secondary camera with 2 MP camera with an f/2.4 aperture. To run all of this smoothly, it is powered by an octa-core processor (4×2.2 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4×1.7 GHz Cortex-A53) Hisilicon Kirin 710 chipset, and Mali G-51 MP4 GPU. It will be offered in two memory options, 128 GB of internal storage comes with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage comes with 4 GB of RAM. Also, an option to expand its external memory storage up to 400 GB with a dedicated memory card slot. Talking about the memory card slot, it also has dual 4G Nano-SIM options. To power all of this, Huawei has given a massive battery of 4,000mAh.
The fingerprint scanner sensor, however, is situated at the back, a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom, and the phone weighs around 173g. It will be launched tomorrow in India, stay tuned for a detailed review of the Y9, whether this phone is worth buying or not.
