Huawei has pulled the covers off the Huawei Mate 20 Lite with the device launching in Poland at a price of PNL 1,599 (converts to approximately Rs 30,000). This may mean that the Mate 20 and the Mate 20 Pro are also not far behind for launch.
The Mate 20 Lite was showcased by Tabletovo, a Polish website in its full glory. It comes with a 6.3-inch FullHD+ display with a resolution of 2340×1080. The display has minimal bezels and is flanked by a notch at the top. The Mate 20 Lite has an 81% screen-to-body ratio resulting from 19.5:9 display aspect ratio.
In terms of the hardware, the Mate 20 Lite has Huawei’s own Kirin 710 octa-core processor which has four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.2GHz combined with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.7GHz. The Mate 20 Lite comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. According to past reports, the Mate 20 Lite may launch a 6GB RAM model that also supports expandable storage.
Camera specifications of the Mate 20 Lite include a vertical dual-lens camera on the back, a 20-megapixel primary lens with f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary lens. The notch on the front consists of a 24-megapixel primary lens and a 2-megapixel secondary lens. Face unlock feature is supported on the device. Powering all the hardware within the Mate 20 Lite is a 3,750 mAh battery that supports fast charging via Type-C port.
The Mate 20 Lite runs on Android 8.1 Oreo skinned with EMUI. Other specifications include NFC and dual-band WiFi support and a fingerprint scanner at the back. The smartphone is available in black, blue and gold colours.
Pricing and availability of the Mate 20 Lite in India has not been revealed yet.
