HP Pro8 Tablet series has been launched which is a “Made for India” tablet that is supposed to monitor subsidy distribution via Aadhar authentication and also delivers various benefits related to government schemes. The HP Pro8 Tablet series are priced at 19,374 INR and supports regional languages. The range of this tablet sports an 8-inch display. Along with this, it comes with customizable features that will allow the service delivery which includes financial inclusion and schemes of benefit.
According to HP, this latest tablet has been made aiming and ensuring the efficient delivery of subsidized food products which comes under the Public Distribution System (PDS), comprehensive monitoring of various healthcare initiatives and the other entire flagship programs which are run by the state and central government. This device comes with preloaded apps for supporting various functionalities. It has been designed by HP’s Digital India Unit along with specific inputs from private and public sector customers.
HP Pro8 has features like sunlight readable screen for outdoor usage, fingerprint scanner and iris for authentication which is Aadhar-based. Not only this, it also comes with a thermal printer, magnetic-strip reader for financial transaction and bar code scanner for inventory management. This HP Pro8 ‘made in India’ tablet runs on Android Marshmallow and is powered by Quad-core Processor. The storage capacity is 2GB RAM and 16GB onboard memory that can be further expanded up to 64GB. The battery backup consists of a high-capacity 6,000mAh.

The 4G-enabled devices with strong battery ensure connectivity even in remote areas.”
