HONOR THE NOTCH

WHAT IS IT?

Honor’s take on the evolving Notch game- loaded with AI camera Tech.

The AI CAMERA can detect 500+ scenarios in 22 different categories, and apply settings based on that

DESIGN

The ‘Mirage Blue’ back finish looks pretty rad and gives a youthful image to device- exactly what Honor as a brand stands for. Move over to the front and you’ll be greeted by the very 2018-sh Notch at the top which houses Honor’s AI face-unlock tech, the front camera and the earpiece. Another noteworthy bit about the Honor 10 is the size of the deviceat 5.84-inches, it just feels perfect in the hand and you can reach out to most areas of the screen with just your thumb itself.

CAMERA

The Camera. Yes, cameras have always been the talking point about Honor phones and the 10’s camera is again one of the best in the business. It comes with an AI mode which basically detects the environment and gives you the best output based on the lighting conditions. It can detect 500+ scenarios in 22 different categories, and apply settings based on that. It’s like having your own very efficient Director of Photography who’ll make the best of of the possible situation. Yes, you might feel that the AI bit does overdo the colors and the saturation at times but then you can always turn it off! PERFORMANCE – Powering Honor’s first notched up device is the same Kirin 970 processor which has been carried forward from last year’s View 10. Even though it is an old processor, it does a fairly decent job at multitasking and running heavy games like PUB G. Having said that, the phone heats up fairly fast when you are giving it the beans.
