Gionee A1 Plus has been launched whose main highlight is the dual-rear camera. The Dual Rear Camera has featured phones has been announced by different other brands as well. For instance, OnePlus, Vivo, Oppo and Apple have already implemented dual rear cameras with different megapixels. This phone is priced at 26,990 INR and is currently competing with mid-range product options in the market like Honor Pro 8. Some phones in this range have excellent dual cameras and some have powerful processors. Here’s our review and verdict on Gionee A1 Plus Smartphone.
Gionee A1 Plus Features:
It sports a 6-inch Full HD IPS display screen with 1920 x 1080 pixels of resolution. The processor is Helio P25 Octa-Core up to 2.6Hz. The storage capacity is 4GB and 64GB in-built memory which can be expanded up to 256GB via micro-SD card. The camera features a 13-Megapixel AF f/2.0 + 5-Megapixel fixed focus with a f/2.2 rear camera + 20-Megapixel front camera with FF, f/2.0. It runs on Android Nougat v7.0 with amigo 4. The weight and dimensions are 226 gms and 166.4 x 83.3 x 9.1 mm. The battery backup is 4550mAh with Li-Polymer battery.
Gionee A1 Plus Design
It is a heavier and bigger smartphone as compared to the average phones. It looks nice and sophisticated but a 6-inch full HD screen with a weight of 226 grams makes it bulky. It has a little-curved back and the rear cameras are stacked vertically. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the home button. Gionee A1 Plus has a headphone jack on the top and two antenna band lines on the bottom and top. Although it has not gone for a Type-C cable it supports fast charging. So, if the design is considered, I would say that because of a large screen and heavy weight, it has a disadvantage. This is because the contemporaries are offering slimmer and thinner designs.
Gionee A1 Plus Performance
It is powered by MediaTek Helio P25 processor and has good storage capacity making it enough for most of the users. It can access apps and the web without any issues which are a really good thing. It gets a little warm when you play a game consistently but it is not even close to getting unbearable. This is, in fact, the fastest phone in this price range.
Gionee A1 Plus Camera and Battery
The portrait mode is good when it helps in blurring the background and focuses on the main object. But, when it is used in the indoor lighting, it struggles a bit. You just have to be a little patient while clicking a picture. I like the rear camera as it really gives detailed pictures. Overall, the camera is impressive and the selfie flash is also good for clicking low light photos.
The smartphone sports a battery backup of 4550mAh with fast charging technology. The fast charge does help in getting a full battery in just 2 hours. On an average, this phone can easily last all day, even if we are using it for some or the other work whole day.
Gionee A1 Plus Verdict
The Gionee A1 Plus comes with a bigger battery, larger display screen, and good quality front shooter. The main highlight of this smartphone is the dual rear camera which is of average quality. If you are fond of large display phones, you should go for it. It is priced at 26,999 INR but it is still expensive for what you are getting in the same price range compared to the other brands.
