Fitbit, the international brand known for its fitness bands had entered the smartwatch segment with the Fitbit Ionic in October 2017. The Ionic did not fare well amongst the masses due to multiple reasons, but now Fitbit is back with its modern and elegant successor, Fitbit Versa.
The Fitbit Versa is the apparently the smartwatch which can turn around the game for Fitbit due to its modern and stylish looks as well as the price range. The Versa has a completely different look compared to the Ionic.
The company claims Versa to be, “Fitbit’s lightest smartwatch showcases a modern design and the health and fitness features you need with 4+ days battery life – all at an accessible price”
The name of the smartwatch Versa is short for ” Versatile” according to the company. Just like the name, the new smartwatch has undergone some major changes compared to its predecessor, Ionic. The major changes are the size of the screen, the bezel of the screen and the thickness of the screen. The Versa screen measures 1.34 inches and it’s 39 mm in width. Most importantly the new OS of the new smartwatch is something that everyone is looking forward to.
Some of the health features are 24/7 heart rate tracking, onscreen workouts, and automatic sleep stages tracking meet smart features like quick replies on Android,wallet-free payments, and on-device music – all with 4+ days battery life. Though the wallet-free payment is only available in the special edition.
The company has taken an extra step to make smartwatch more convenient for its female users. The Versa will have special female health tracking to track their menstrual cycle, view sensitive health data in one place, and provide a tailored suggestion.
The Versa will even automatically track the workout duration and then provide customized routines.It has a battery life of 4 days which is 1 day short compared to the Ionic. There are various other features which are designed and inculcated to make communication more effective such as instant reply and notifications on the screen.

Fitbit Versa will be available in black with a black aluminum case, gray with a silver aluminum case, or peach with a rose gold aluminum case. Fitbit Versa will be available in India in Q2, 2018 across Reliance Digital, Croma, Helios and other major retailers including e-commerce partners like Amazon India and Flipkart in India for INR 19,999. Fitbit Versa Special Edition will also retail for INR 21,999 and accessories range from INR 2,499 to INR 8,999.
