Fiio M7 Features and Specification
The Fiio M7 sports a 3.2-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 480×800 pixels, an all glass front, and an aluminium chassis. It is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 7270 SoC and runs on a highly customised Android skin with physical buttons for playback controls along with a dial for volume control. The internal storage capacity is 2GB which is expandable up to 512GB via microSD card.
It gives a play time of up to 30 hours when connected to Bluetooth while 20 hours via the headphone jack. The battery backup is 1180mAh offering a standby time of 40 days. It is by far the first music player in the world to have a USB-Type C port that can be used for the purpose of syncing, charging, and music players over USB-C headphones. Along with this, it has a 3.5mm headphone output support.
The Fiio M7 supports the aptX-HD audio codec as well as Sony’s LDAC wireless audio codec that is recently made available for all Android phones via 8.0 Oreo. This high-res audio player also supports FM Radio but the lack of Wi-Fi means no support for streaming services such as Google Play Music and Apple Music. Talking about the core of Fiio M7, it has the ESS Sabre 9018 chip that combines a high-performance DAC and headphone amplifier into one small package. This chip has an impressive signal-to-noise ratio of -121B with a support of up to 384kHz/32 bit PCM tracks.
