Asus at Computex has announced new TUF gaming products for gamers seeking stability and performance at an affordable price. Although it started with motherboards, the TUF family is expanding to peripherals and other components for the consumers. All-new additions include the TUF Gaming M5 mouse, K5 keyboard, H5 headset and GT501 chassis. These all Asus Gaming peripherals will arrive in Q3 2018. Pricing is yet to be revealed for any of the products.
TUF Gaming M5
The mouse is one of the important peripherals for computers and prone to physical wear and tear, TUF Gaming M5 ouse has been coated with durable paint that stands up to heavy use. M5 uses Omron switches can survive 50 million clicks and provide seamless gaming experience. All the buttons are programmable with the Armoury II software. It saves up to three profiles directly on the mouse internal memory and can be used on any machine with the same profile. The TUF Gaming M5 uses Pixart’s PAW3327 optical sensor monitors motions at resolutions up to 6200 dpi which is enough sensitivity for a vast majority of gamers. Asus also added Aura Sync accent lighting, which is easy to match with rest of the rig.
TUF Gaming K5 keyboard
Like the mouse, Keyboard is also prone to physical wear and tear. The TUF Gaming K5 can survive itself from a liquid as it has a splash-proof design. The keycaps are covered with three layers of paint, so it can hold up the characters for the much longer time. It also used Mech-Brane switches mimic the feel of a mechanical design. The keyboard uses five-zone Aura Sync backlighting, so provide a personalized array of colours and effects that can be easily synchronized with the M5 mouse. As with the M5 mouse, Armoury II lets users record custom macros and save them to onboard storage.
TUF Gaming H5 headset
The TUF Gaming H5 headset designed mainly focuses on durability, style and comfort. It has the stainless steel headband to offer strength to the headset, giving it a premium feel and look. Along with strength, the headset has a lightweight design and comfortable to wear for longer gaming sessions. The headset contains 50mm Essence driver on both the ear cups and an airtight chamber to improve sound quality. It also includes a removable boom that hangs down for communications required for squad communications. The headset even included USB adapter to adds virtual surround sound that puts the user at the centre of the action.
TUF Gaming GT501
The TUF Gaming GT501 has a military-inspired motif across the desktop. The chassis is made out of steel and provides the same durability like the TUF motherboards. It has plastic around the front panel housing and a huge smoked tempered glass window on the side. The chassis can easily house an ATX motherboard and route cables effectively, and there’s space left over for RGB lighting. It also includes a trio of high-flow 140mm PWM fans right out of the box, which is perfect for pairing with the intelligent cooling control offered by TUF Gaming motherboards. There are additional mounts for three fans up top and three more at the front, with both locations supporting dual-fan radiators up to 280mm and triple-fan units up to 360mm.
