There’s no denying the fact that technology has come a long way now. The transformation isn’t just from Samsung flip phone to the iPhone 7. But today let’s go back to the early 1900s. We bring to you 6 bizarre technology devices our great-grandparents may have used back then.
- The Ice Mask
At least once in life, we’ve used the ice mask. Be it after getting sunburned, or to cure that silly hangover. This advanced technology has existed for quite some time now.
- Baby cages
Even today, parents complain that their newborns aren’t getting enough sunshine and air. To combat the same issue back in the 1900s, people started using ‘baby cages’. People placed their babies in a cage that hung outside the window. Nothing to worry about!
- Fancy baby sling
Today’s parents use the traditional pram, but in the earlier days, such wasn’t the case! No, because back then, parents were joyous to carry a baby sling. One end on the mama’s shoulder, another on papa’s. How cool is that!
- The Walker life saver
In the 1930s, couple inventors made a device to save the lives of persons on feet. The machine has roller and shovel. And this would be fixed to each vehicle. So, if a walker was ever hit, the driver could quickly pull a lever. So, the walker would be literally lifted up by the shovel.
- Cone Masks
These masks were particularly created to save people from the extreme weather, especially, the snow. Apart from looking totally hilarious, they looked pretty dangerous too when worn in crowded places.
- Piano in bed
The bed piano was designed to allow people that were bedridden to play the piano. And with things like Netflix around nowadays, who are we to criticize.
After going through this list, surely you will consider yourself lucky to be born in the 21st century.
