Well, Samsung has finally launched its flagship device – Samsung Galaxy S10 plus in India. Here are the top 10 things you should know before buying Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus.
The Galaxy S10 plus has taken some design inspiration from its predecessor but with a brand new look. The side gets a chrome finish similar to the iPhone Xs. The placement is similar to previous Galaxy S devices, however, for me, the power button is way higher for my thumb to reach.
We spend the major time on a smartphone interacting with the display, and Samsung takes it seriously, they make one of the best mobile displays in the market. With S10+, they offer 6.4-inches quad HD+ curved dynamic AMOLED display with HDR10+ certification. The experience of watching Bluray videos on this practically non-existent bezel-less phone was phenomenal.
Considering these are the latest flagships from Samsung, this Galaxy S10+ have best-in-class specifications. The Samsung Galaxy S10+ is powered by powerful Exynos 9820 processor paired with 8GB of RAM that offers this phone to perform faster and heavy multi-tasking doesn’t matter to this phone. For storage, there is 128GB of storage, for more storage you can insert microSD card of up to 512GB.
ULTRASONIC FINGERPRINT SENSOR
While others use optical scanning, Samsung introduced ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on this phone. Also, the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the front under the display. The ultrasonic fingerprint sensor scans the thumbprint in 3D which makes it more secure than optical 2D scanning. The ultrasonic fingerprint sensor has one flaw, however, you have to apply pressure on the screen for it to detect your thumbprint. Kind of annoying when you want to unlock your phone in a hurry.
RETAINS HEADPHONE JACK
While every flagship smartphone has now started to omit the 3.5mm headphone jack, the S10+ doesn’t let us down, it still provides the user with a headphone jack. Samsung’s definitely not hopping onto any omitting trends!
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S10+ with triple-camera on the rear panel. It has a 12-megapixel sensor + 12-megapixel telephoto lens and 16-megapixel ultrawide sensor. All camera can be used independently depends on the situations.
As for selfies, the Galaxy S10+ features a 10-megapixel front camera and the 8MP RGB depth sensor to capture portrait pictures. I’m still not impressed with the picture quality processed from front camera. Wish Samsung could have done better.
Just like its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S10 plus supports fast wireless charging. You have to buy a wireless charging pad separately to use this feature. However, using wireless charging does create heat between the phone and charging pad which is normal.
SHARING POWER WIRELESSLY (POWER SHARE)
One of the interesting features is the Samsung Power Share. Now you can share your phone power to charge the new Galaxy buds, Galaxy watch or even a wireless charging enabled phone like iPhone Xs hose battery doesn’t last long.
WATERPROOF AND DUST RESISTANT
Strolling across the beach and worried about dropping your S10+ in the sand or water? Worry not. It has an IP68 rating which will protect the S10+.
